“我思故我在”为我们设下了一个思维陷阱：主体与客体的僵化对立。但我们在生活环境中其实从未遭遇“客体”——书桌上的水杯、床边的照明灯、楼梯口的消防栓，一切事物都不以“客体”的面目向我们显现。相反，它们作为有意义事物所自我显现的前提正是我们对自身所处的周围世界的展开和形塑：环绕着我们的事物其整体性有赖于这个独特世界的展开，并由此构成我们身处其中的境况本身。
但周围世界的这一展开过程并不是主观的，作为能形塑世界的行为者，我们的“世界—展开”结构从一开始就被规定在了时间性框架内：环境对于我们而言就是时间性的、绽出的结果，“我们”与“环境”相互生产。周围事物以我们为中心形成一个圈环，而这个事物的秩序同时既为我们的各种可能性奠定基础，也为它们划下界限——我们从来不是抽象的个体，我们从来只在“境况”中理解生活、理解世界。

Surroundings - Environment (Whether I am in your eyes)
"I think, therefore I am” put us into a trap of thinking: the rigid opposition of subject and object. But we never actually encounter “object” in our living environment: a glass on the desk, a headlamp bedside the bed and a fire hydrant by the stairs; all things do not present themselves as "objects". Instead, the prerequisite for them to present and reveal as meaningful things is our unfolding and formation of external environment; the integrity of things surrounding us depends on the unfolding of the unique world, thus to construct the environment that we live in.
But the unfolding process of the surrounding world is not subjective. As actors being able to shape the world, the structure of our "World –Unfold” has been limited within the framework of time since the very beginning. Environment is a result for us contributed to by the production of time; time which was mutually produced by “us” and the “environment”. Things surrounding us form a circle ring centering us, while its order not only lays foundation for all our possibilities, but also draws boundaries. We have never been abstract individuals. Instead, we only understand life and the world in "surroundings and situations".
